Absolutely! The new Big Cat Door is designed to seamlessly retrofit into the cutout of the old door, so you can upgrade without the need for additional cutting. If your current door is installed in glass, the new door will fit perfectly in the old cutout, but you will need an installation adaptor to ensure it's properly supported in the glass. This adaptor is essential for maintaining the door's stability and aesthetics in glass installations.

Is the Big Cat Door suitable for cats of all sizes and small dogs?

Yes, the Big Cat Door is designed to accommodate cats of all sizes. Its spacious opening and adjustable settings make it a great choice for households with cats of different sizes and breeds. Additionally, the Big Cat Door can also work for small dogs up to 25 lb (11kg) with a maximum body width of 7 ¼ in (184mm) and a maximum body height of 7 ¾ in (196mm).

Can the Big Cat Door be installed in glass?

Yes, the Big Cat Door can be installed in glass with the assistance of a professional glazier or glass manufacturer and a set of Big Cat Door Glass Installation Adaptors (sold separately). You will also need a tape measure, marker or grease pencil, safety glasses, work gloves, Phillips screwdriver, level, and exterior grade caulk (optional). It is important to note that it is not possible to cut holes in tempered or double paned glass except at the time of manufacture.
